## Before you start

The order must have status `NotActivated`, `PartActivated`, `Expired`, or `OnHold`.

:::warning Cancelling cannot be undone
Cancelled rows cannot be activated later.

## Cancel an order

1. Find the order in the [order search](/docs/merchanthub/search) and open it.
2. Select **Cancel**.
3. Select **Yes** to confirm. The dialog reminds you that every article that is not activated will be cancelled.

Every row that is not activated is cancelled, whatever the order status was. A `PartActivated` order keeps its activated rows and becomes `Activated`. For the other statuses, every row is cancelled and the order can no longer be activated.
