  When a customer sends back one or more articles, register a return on those articles. The return adjusts the order and refunds any money the customer has already paid.

## Before you start

The order must have status `Activated` or `PartActivated`. Find it in the [order search](/docs/merchanthub/search) and open it.

## Return specific articles

1. Select **Edit**.
2. Select the return arrow on the right side of the article's row.
3. If the article has a quantity above one, set the quantity to return and select **Return**.
4. Select **Update Order**. To reverse a return before that, select **Undo** on the row.

The order is now partly returned.

## Return the whole order

1. Select **Edit**.
2. Select **Return all** at the top of the table.
3. Select **Update Order**.

The order status changes to `Returned`.
