  A Pay Link moves through these states. Only <code>Completed</code> means the customer has paid and you can hand over or ship the goods.

| State                | Shown as            | What it means                                                                              | Can the goods be handed over? |
| -------------------- | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------- |
| `Pending`            | Pending             | The Pay Link is created but the customer has not opened it yet. No order exists.           | No                            |
| `CustomerIdentified` | Customer identified | The customer has opened the Pay Link and identified themselves, but has not paid.          | No                            |
| `CommittedToPayment` | Payment in progress | The customer has started to pay. Wait for the Pay Link to complete.                        | No                            |
| `Completed`          | Completed           | The customer has paid and an order is created.                                             | Yes                           |
| `Expired`            | Expired             | The customer did not pay within the allowed time. The Pay Link can no longer be completed. | No                            |
| `Aborted`            | Aborted             | The customer or a Merchant Hub user aborted the Pay Link.                                  | No                            |

The Pay Link list shows the open states by default. Use the status filter to include expired and aborted links.
